You don't need synaptic package manager...that is what Aptitude (apt-get) is for..
try reading the man pages for aptitude to learn how to use it.
And remember kids, aptitude has cow powers ^_^
@sparticvs thanks for the comment.
why i use synaptic manager is to get the latest version for postgresql.by using the apt-get command it may or may not bring the latest version.so i used the synaptic package manager.and any how thanks for the information.and very thanful for the comment. i will improve my future videos.
That's great.
who can send me free vpn link.
Thanks alot mate.
Not sure if this is still an ongoing topic/issue...but here's my 10 cents worth for fixing a problem with msfconsole and a "call stack" error message
--snip--
[-] Error while running command db_connect: Failed to connect to the database: uninitialized constant MysqlCompat::MysqlRes
Call stack:
/opt/framework3/msf3/lib/msf/ui/console/command_dispatcher/db.rb:1850:in `db_connect_mysql'
--snip--
Edit /pentest/exploits/framework3/msfconsole
Edit the very top line and either fully remove the line, or add a new one above it (the "#" will make it a comment as soon as you move if off the top line)
The original is #!/usr/bin/env ruby, and when I changed it to #!/usr/bin/ruby and tried to run msfconsole, it prompted me with a ruby version number error saying it was expecting Ruby lib ver 1.9.1 but had a reference to 1.8.7
A "find" on my system located a "/usr/bin/ruby", "ruby1.8" and a "ruby1.9.2" directory
So..taking a rough guess at it, changed the top line to "#!/usr/bin/ruby1.9.2", saved it and fired up msfconsole, and no problems at all.
"db_driver mysql" All good.
"db_nmap" and run a scan...All good..
"db_hosts" lists the nmap results..and so it appears it has automatically connected to the default database.
Game on!
Thank You.
thanks for comments guyzs
Nice video, but what about if u are under another subnet mask??? how do u approach on that?maybe is just a stupid question
@hazz i hope it doesn't matter which subnet you are in.try to ping the victim ip.if it is pinging.scan it nmap and figure out the vulnerable services.and exploit the machine.game over.
@neo, Synaptic isn't going to pull newer packages. Synaptic is just a GUI for aptitude, you do realize that right?
@sparticvs ya i agree with you.
I watched this wee video @ thought it was good. You did what you said @ it was easy to follow @ do. I hope you make some more video's, " WITH SOUND " as it saves me reading all the time. Anyway good stuff, keep it up.
