Description: In this megaprimer I'm going to talk about cryptography and cryptanalysis. First we will discover some basic algorithms and after some time, we will come to more difficult and stronger algorithms. I'm going to explain the algorithms and math behind them in detail, but for the beginning we will only look at easy methods of encrypting texts and data.
I'm also planning to add some coding in the primer (probably C or Java) and we will look at some open-source projects.
Please beginn with watch Part1:
http://www.securitytube.net/video/2006
In this part we will discover some java code for a simple cube-transposition.
Hope you enjoy the primer and please leave some comments here.

Nicely done! I think most of the audience awaits the English translation :)
ENGLISH!, ENGLISH!, ENGLISH!, ENGLISH!,...
Thank u for the translations to English.
I do really like your approach.
Keep going my friend!!!
nice.keep coming videos in English.we are waiting.
The English version pleas brooooooooooooo
Ye, stop it in German ! just keep the primer in english.
English please, Thanx:)
m0ei are u ok? say thank you for the work what other people do....wtf... not everybody is able to do vids in english or even try to teach someone...what a comment...ur one of them who thought that every help which is coming is normaly ...
@Kenneth Calm down my friend.
I think we all as a community appreciate the work done by @Juggl3r and I think he should continue the German version, and I fully support it.
Having said that, an English version would also benefit a large audience from other parts of the world. @Juggl3r has already added 2 versions of each video (German + English) and we all greatly appreciate and are thankful to him for the same.
I think @m0ei worded his response strongly. He also appreciates what @Juggl3r is doing for us all and may have written his response too enthusiastically. I apologize on his behalf.
SecurityTube as a community appreciates all research and contributors around the world! It is this diversity which makes us such an amazing community and we would never want to lose this!
i even thought the same vivek...only the problem why i react like that was - i saw that in another comunity i was for last weeks, where a guy help and supports everybody how he can, and even didnt get a thank you...in other way - the guys he supported where going angry when he didnt answer in same minute and have own work to do...thats a problem in our whole life that people give and other only take and see that as normaly way...thats what let me get little bit angry...nothing personaly...sorry about my reaction
Hey guys,
english version will come soon. Only had a hard week and not the time to record it yet. I'm thinking about doing the primer only in english, but I think, I can teach it in german much better. I will also post the german-primers at end of summer @ our university-forum, so maybe some guys from there will also join the security-tube community. If I only post english versions, the release-cycle would be much more faster, but I'm also learning with this vids and I think I learn the most, if I teach it in german, so I will continue the german versions too.
@Kenneth:
Yeah, will post the videos in better quality soon. But the coding in Eclipse is readable, or? The Problem always was, that the size of the files increases very fast, if I use better resolution. But I saw, that I compressed the files in a wrong way.... So next videos will become smaller and better resolution ;)
@Rest:
Thanks =)
of course the code in eclipse is readable, and yes part to part u going to be better - dont worry :) deine stimme wird auch von mal zu mal selbstbewusster, mach dir keinen stress rießen respekt für die arbeit :)
big respect to everyone who try to teach others even for first time thats realy great guys!
@Kenneth I understand your perspective entirely but be rest assured that @m0ei is one of the few people who is almost the first to post and appreciate other people's work.
I think even in this post, he was very keen to learn from the video, but wanted an English version sooner so he could watch it.
Anyways, alls well that ends well, and I can see from @Juggl3r's post that he has not taken offense to it.
This is what makes us such a great and fun community!
