Description: Welcome to Part 29 of the WLAN Security Megaprimer! Please start this series by watching Part 1 http://www.securitytube.net/video/1756, if you have not done so already.
In this video, we will look at how to setup the FreeRadius-WPE server on Backtrack 5. Though it should work by default, the server installation is broken and we need to fix it first. Then we need to create certificates and bring up the server.
Now that we have the RADIUS server up and running, we connect an access point to the network and point it to our RADIUS server for WPA-Enterprise authentication.
Finally, we will run an end-to-end connectivity experiment using our handy iPhone as the WPA supplicant.
Looking forward to your comments!

Fantastic video as usual. I know it may be asking a lot, but... NEVER STOP. ;)
wow! thanks again Vivek.
I see the analog clock in the end on your Mac and its almost 2AM??? I wish my teachers had had such motivation to teach me, I would have turned out different.
I just made my donation to you. Will try to see if it can be made every month. Keep going!
Omg thanks a lot! It looks interesting.
As always, clear, detailed and spot on. Thanks Vivek.
Good one. I wound up going through some amount of difficulty to get it working on my ubuntu box about 6 months ago.
I don't know if you plan on covering it, but some might find the inclusion of the .conf modification for domain stripping in wpe useful(in the case of windows domain dot1x auth). We had a question about it some time ago on the QA side(answered but sometimes it's nice if people see it happen and why/when it's important).
superb!was waiting for this.
thanks vivek!
gooodddddd.
go on next .
thanks.
i have been working on RADIUS server from last many days and i must say that video is very good. i really enjoy it.
thank you vivek keep it up.
Awesome!! Vivek the MegaPrimer Master!!!
@wtmh144, John-Nash, m0ei, Blackmarketeer, x17, soheil.r, Machinist, thewicked1 Thanks for all the comments my friends :) More to come. Stay tuned.
@Andrew FreeRadius can be a pain to install. I am not planning to cover basic installation from scratch but if you have the time, feel free to a post a video and I will add it to the list.

Thanks a lot Vivek!! You're awesome! :)
First Thanks for all your good works. I just finished to read your book about Wireless for pentesting and it's awesome.
Now, I want mention to you that the method to fix Freeradius-wpe in your video is no longer valid for BT5 R2. In fact after we recompile Freeradius-wpe we get a Segmentation fault when we launch it with radiusd -s -X .
So I found the fix on this page:
http://www.securityaddicted.com/2012/04/04/how-to-repair-the-broken-freeradius-wpe-default-install-on-backtrack-5-r2/
But when I attempt to connect a windows client to freeradius-wpe server i get this message on server console "Ignoring request to authenticate address..."
Please i find the time can you test it and comment about it.
thankyou very much and keep up the good work... You Rock!!!
Sorry ! you must read *** Please if you find the time...
Thanks again!
Ok the fix is good. We have to configure eap.conf, clients.conf and everything is working good.
Good day my friend. I just want to thank you for your videos - I am pursuing my Masters in Cyber Security and Information Assurance and you have been a great help. Did you do a follow on video on how to add clients to the radius server? If so, please pass on the link.
Thanks and have a great day!
Great work Vivek. Im learning the way how freeradius-wpe does. Anyway, for the starter, Ive started to install freeradius on Ubuntu but many error I got when trying to do WPA and freeradius. freeradius-wpe does make it easier. Somehow I would want to try using motp for another authentication. How to make url-redirect for otp login page in freeradius?
